Eclecticness at it's finest
Wow, so much has happened since i last updated. So now i'm torn between explaining a few things i know have perked up some ears or if i should just tell the story of tonight.... i'm tired, the story of tonight....

So I went for dinner with some co-workers and then we ended up going for a walk on the waterfront. Tall ships are in town, so it was great to see some of them. As we were walking, i noticed a very precarious individual juggling on top of the giant wave. He had messy hair, really wavy/curly, kind of longish. It stuck out from under his hat, whcih had a very old feel to it... i can't place it, but it looks like something between 1920-40. So here he is, smiling at the crowd... juggling . Funny stuff... i could not take my eyes off of him. We watched him for a while, till my friends insisted we get going... fair enough. So later on, we're down looking at another ship, and out of the corner of my eye, i see someone go by... who again seems intriguing, i turn around and there he is!!!
So we stand back, and watch for a bit more... he was leaning against the railss looking at the boat, again, i could not take my eyes off of him. So we watch for a bit, and he isn't doing much... we start walking, and i turn around just one more time, and there he is again, balancing on the rope. the look on his face was a cross between determination, happiness, oblivion and passion. And the whole time he had the most fantastic smile....
I have to find him again, he is by far, the most intriguing man i have ever seen. I contemplated going to talk to him while he was starting at the ropes, but really, what would i say?? I wonder if I'll ever get another chance

A "halifax adventure"
Well, tonight was an adventure indeed. I went out for a drink with Leah and her mom. On our way down Spring Garden Rd. I stopped at the Royal Bank. Just outside of the bank, on a bench, was a cell phone, with no owner in sight. I thought for a minute about what to do. My superhero side took over (thankfully), and i realized the best thing to do was to take the phone, find a number of someone to call, and hopefully get the phone back to it's owner. I looked throught the address book to see if the owner had an entry called 'home', he didn't. I did find a number for his Dad. So I called his dad, and very akwardly, i explained myself. At first , "dad' was confused, but then within seconds it switched to immeadiate gratefulness. He was shocked that i had found the phone and i wanted to make sure that it wasn't lost. I gave him my cell number, and my home number and asked him to get his son to call me so i could give back the cell phone. I will now wait for him to call me.
So feeling better about the world, Leah's Mom and I continued downtown to meet Leah at the Old Triangle... we had a drink, stayed for a bit of music and then left for O'carrols. They were closed (it was 12ish, maybe later)... so off we went to the Split Crow. Hair of the Dog was playing at the Crow... my old fiddle teacher is coincidently the fiddler in that band. They're fantastic, always a good time... so i chatted a bit with Anthony after the show... and then off we went to find some food. Unfortunately, its now after 1:00 am, and the only choices are the Apple Barrel, pizza corneer, and thankfully, Maxwells Plum.
Had me some fish and chips... good night indeed. 3 pubs, 2 beer, 1 cell phone.... 0 regrets.
Over and out

A Luney Adventure!
Given that I had a few days off, I was looking for an adventure. Megan and I had planned to rent a car and go on a mini trip. After a little investigating, we decided it wasn't such a feasible idea. We were a little dissapointed but then decided that we should still think up something. Adam was visiting in the city for the weekend, so we ended up hitching a ride with him back to Lunenburg.

We took the scenic route down to Lunenburg, complete with tour of Chester. Given that i have only had one experience with Chester, it was nice to take a quick drive through it again. We arrived in Lunenburg, and Adam's Dad took us out on the boat. While we were out on the water, they were talking about jigging for mackarel. I had no idea what they were talking about (fishing, drop line, wiggle it up and down...catch fish, easy as that). So i was given a crash course, and then away I went. We got lots of fishies and took them home and barbequed them.
So then after dinner, we went for a beer down at the Knot, which is a great little pub. Then we walked around the town. Then we went back to Adam's place, watched a movie and called it a night... a fun little adventure indeed!
The next day, we were supposed to walk around down town and check out some of the little shops and stuff, but it was pouring rain, so we opted for the driving tour instead. Then we caught the bus back to the city. Good times! Yay for fun little adventures!

Divine Inspiration
Well, I knew i wasn't far from it, but my room is officially enough to make me lose sleep! See, i was looking for something before bed, but i couldn't find it. So i gave up, I was sleepy, afterall. So off to bed i go (it's about 3:15 am at this point). By 3:30, i have officially convinced myself that i'm not sleepy any more, and that i should pack up some of my winter clothes, so i can pick up the summer clothes on my floor and then possibly start cleaning. An excellent idea, that must be started immeadiately. So up i get, i sort clothes, pack some up, and pick up and fold everything. So the room is looking a bit better, although there is still random crap all over it, but no worries. So then i decide that I should rip a CD to MP3, so i do that...and here I am, at twenty to five in the morning, awake for no good reason, other than the fact that there is too much on my mind for me to sleep. Once my room is clean, my thinking will be clearer...
thank God for Divine inspiration
Off to try to sleep again....

I'm gonna be a cat lady
Well, the official exciting news of the day, is the long awaited anticipation of my new Furry friend has finally climaxed. Little, but not as little as i thought, Finnigan arrived at his new home today. Megan is taking care of him till we move to our new place. He's gorgeous. He's gray, with black stripes that look kind of tigerish. He's got short hair, and it's very shiny and silky. He's also very friendly and affectionate. The only problem is Casey (Megan's cat), is having a bit of trouble adjusting. We think he'll warm up to Finnigan in a few days... right now he just hisses and growls at Finn. Poor little Finn. Megan is doing an excellent job making him feel right at home though... he's gonna be just fine. And i'm gonna go over to visit lots and lots :)

I think I'll go eat worms... literally
Picture if you will... one hungry vegetarian. She gets some lettuce from the fridge (borrowed with permission from a roomie), makes a salad... okay, lettuce with carrot and celery sticks on the side, adds a little catalina dressing (one of my favs) and sits down for some supper. Munching salad happily while watching Amelie... and all of a sudden, she looks down and there it is... the grosest, brownest, squimiest worm you ever did see. In panic... she throws the tray back down... spits out the salad in her mouth, and runs into the kitchen. The worm is trying to run away, Tracy wants to run away. UGH!!! GROSS GROSS GROSS. I threw the worm away... yep, i murdered him.
So I told LEah, since it was her lettuce... she as well was disgusted, so we looked at the bag, there was another worm in there!!! Garbage. It's all garbage.
Geez, I was only kidding when i said that i was going to go eat worms

Hi all
So here I am in Oakville, the end of the trip. I'm actually heading for the airport in less than one hour. It's been a good trip. NIce to get away and do something different... i've been bored though. I've come to realize that what i consider to be 'boring' or 'bored' some people consider to be called relaxing. I got home on Monday night... hung out with the family, and watched a movie with my sister. Then on Tuesday i went to stop by my old work, then i took the train to Kingston. Hung out with Meghan, John, and Spartacus (the ferret) on tuesday night and Wednesday morning in Kingston. Then Brad came in the early afternoon, and we dtove to Toronto for Dave Matthews :) Dave Matthews :) It took us 40 minutes to turn left to get in to the parking lot, for a while, i didn't even think we were going to make it. So then we get there, and the opening band has already started. I buy a DMB hat... i don't have one of those yet, and some pizza and a pop($8 for a slice and a pop!!!!)....very hngry because we didn't have time to stop for something to eat on the way. And away we go... find our seats, Dave plays, Everyone is happy... we all go home. Just after I get home, i find out that two of my good friends from Oakville are around, so at approximately, 1:00 am i call Jenn on her Cell to see if I can come see her. Good thing too, that was the only chance i'd get. Cheryl has just left Jenn's house, but she gets called back. I arrive a little later, and for the first time in a long time, we hang out... good times.
The next day: hung around the house all morning... drove to Kitchener... supper with Jen... HOORAY! on the way home, went to see Misha...hung out with her down at the waterfront. Friday now...lunch with Teta...shopping... shopping... shopping...dinner with family...visit with family friend... hang out with misha
Saturday.... time to go home... shopping, shopping, hang around house...
and now it's time to go to the airport!
and that is my trip in a nutshell....
see you in Halifax!
